You may have realised that most of my uploads have been pretty low energy, and that my updates on Dinlolsaurs have grounded itself into another halt.

The main reason really is that I am trying to get into a groove of doing art without revving myself into burnout. This also means that my focus is to learn, practise, and apply the things I learn in a natural way, rather than forcing homework/deadline-esque projects upon myself, which we know are a good way to stress out anyone. Art should not do that.

Right now I have been doing at least a quick sketch of the protagonist of Dinlolsaurs: Velolcirawrptrawr (shortened to Velol), and seeing if I can manage more art for the day. If not, that one sketch will be it. This has resulted in a collection of Velol pieces, which in turn are just a "Velol a day" sketch pushed into a final piece. Whilst it does seem boring, I feel like I'm building up a healthier mindset on how I should grow as an artist. That the cool stuff will happen when it does, and my hand will draw the lines better, faster, and with more confidence with each Velol piece I sketch and/or finish.

So I haven't gone back to the starting line, I just thought that a sprinting start was a good idea, and now I'm just catching my breath somewhere.
